LED-POL company by the decision of the President of the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection informs
The LED-POL Company, by order of the President of the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection on November 21, 2024, was obliged to inform consumers about a product placed on the market that did not meet the requirements of the Regulation of the Minister of Development of June 2, 2016 on requirements for electrical equipment. Below is the content of the information in question:
“LED-POL spółka z ograniczoną odpowiedzialnością sp. k. with its registered office in Bielsko-Biała informs that the product introduced to the market: Lighting fixture ORO GAVIA 3XGU10 W, index: ORO33011, code EAN:5901752710191 does not meet the requirements of the Ordinance of the Minister of Development of June 2, 2016 on the requirements for electrical equipment, - due to the difficult replacement of light sources, as the fixtures were not supplied with a device to facilitate the replacement of light sources in the narrow covers of the fixtures, which in the case of its replacement, the user may touch live elements resulting in the risk of electric shock. The above announcement is published in connection with the proceedings before the President of the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection.”

At the same time, the Company informs that it has taken corrective measures, as a result of which it has attached to the product on the market, i.e. ORO GAVIA 3XGU10 W lighting fixture, index: ORO33011, EAN code:5901752710191 a device to facilitate the replacement of light sources (suction cup), as well as placed a sticker “Max GU10 10W” on the outside of the body of the fixture (visible after installation of the fixture). Thus, it is a product that meets the requirements of the Regulation of the Minister of Development of June 2, 2016 on the requirements for electrical equipment, which was also confirmed by an appropriate laboratory test.

At the same time, taking into account the fact that some consumers purchased the ORO GAVIA 3XGU10 W lighting fixture, index: ORO33011, EAN code:5901752710191 without the device facilitating the exchange of light sources (in the form of a suction cup) as well as without the “Max GU10 10W” sticker on the outer side of the fixture body (visible after the fixture has been installed), LED-POL informs that it offers to provide both these elements free of charge upon the consumer's request. In order to do so, it is enough to send such a request together with the proof of purchase of the lamp in question (e.g. receipt, invoice or other proof of purchase) to LED-POL Mazańcowice 614, 43-391 Mazańcowice or to the e-mail address reklamacje@led-pol.pl.
